Located
at the Southernmost tip of Canada and only 20 minutes from Detroit,
Michigan, SARACEN FARMS comprises 23 lovely acres
that are home to a small but very select group of Egyptian Horses.
We have bred
and shown some of the finest Straight Egyptian and Part Egyptian
Horses in the World for 35 years.
With a very
limited foal crop, mostly only from 1 to 3 foals annually, we have
produced many National Top Ten Halter horses, as well as Class A,
Regional Winners and Egyptian Event Top Tens.
We have produced
such notables as Saracen Karim, New Zealand National
Champion, Saracen Sahib, National Top Ten Halter
Futurity Stallion. Saracen Shaitan, Saracen
Supreme, Saracen Samiha ,Saracen
Salima and Saracen Crimson were all Class
A Halter Champions, US National Top Twenty or Egyptian Event Reserves.
Saracen Hawke a Multi Dressage and Costume Champion,
Saracen Sabre Multi Halter and Performance Champion,
among others.
We based our
breeding program on the great Shaikh Al Badi, whom
we met as a yearling and fell madly in love with. We consequently
bred him to our *Ansata Ibn Halima daughter, Ruminaja
Ghalima,to produce the great Saracen Karim.
All our mares
are either Shaikh Al Badi daughters or grand daughters
and they have proven to be great individuals as well as great producers.
With the new
Millenium came changes and a search for a Stallion to complement
our lovely mares. The search led us to AA Arabians in Texas were
we found an immature 2 year old colt with a golden pedigree. BW
Sensational is by the great Imperial Baarez
and out of a wonderful mare by the name of JD SH-Reba,
who now resides in Australia.
We were taken
with idea of marrying the get and grandget of these two wonderful
stallions, Shaikh Al Badi and Imperial
Baarez.
Sensational is maturing into a beautiful snow white Stallion with
a definite Imperial Baarez look and an awesome disposition.
All our mares
will be bred to him this spring as well as a goodly number of outside
mares.
